Maria was born in Argentina where she lived and worked until she decided to move with her family to Ireland, the land of her ancestors.

Music Education
Maria started her music studies at the age of 7 in Mendoza province. After graduating from a high school in Tierra del fuego (Patagonia), she was able to move to Buenos Aires and begin her music career at the “Astor Piazzolla” conservatory. There she graduated in classical piano.

Maria continued her studies of tango and folklore at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory. She also took lessons in singing and dancing.

Teaching
​
Since 2000 Maria has taught children, adolescents and adults via private tuition and in music schools and primary schools in Argentina. She has many years experience with both individual aswell as group music classes.
​
Maria's passion for early childhood musical development has led her to train with several internationally recognised tutors.
She trained in Suzuki and Orff methods among others and has done several courses in on musical pedagogy for early years.
​
Back in Argentina, she was also a coordinator and teacher of the “música para jugar” workshop for many years: a musical initiation series of workshops to groups of children from 0 to 6 years old.
Since arriving to Ireland she has been teaching piano and musicianship privately to children and adults from beginners to advanced. Maria has prepared students for school exams aswell as piano graded (ABRSM/RIAM).

Maria also works in a Dun Laoghaire music school teaching piano and early years groups.

Performing
​
Maria participated in chamber duos and had an opportunity to perform in Concerts in different venues in Buenos Aires: In the conservatory, La Scala de San Telmo Cultural centre, La Manufactura Papelera, auditorio del Parque Centenario, etc.
She has also been performing solo as a pianist and in various pop formations in different events. Maria has also performed musicals for children.
